It has been pretty slow around the office here for a while. It's nice to an extent. We'll be setting up a new mail relay pretty soon so that might be exciting for an hour or two.
I won a couple awards recently. Well really the same one but at different levels. I won our Squadrons Airman of the Quarter for the 4th quarter. And then I won the Group Airman of the Quarter and now I'm up for the wing. Normally when it gets to this level of competition you have to go before a board and present yourself to a barrage of questions. And usually they give you a days notice at least to get ready. Well apparently my chain of command goofed and I didn't get notified of the board until ooooooooohhhhhhh 40 minutes after I was supposed to be there. So I rushed over there and the good news was that the board was briefed on the situation and I wasn't held responsible for it and was able to meet the board. However, when you meet a board they usually make you be in your service dress blues....I was in ABUs. Well I found out this morning that I was in the top two! I won't know who won for a while though.
In other news my friend Chase leaves for basic training in about 3 weeks. Crazy!
